This will be the last cold weather CAMM gathering (hopefully) so I wanted to make it about cars since the show and racing season starts back up in April.

I have been wanting to go to this place since the first time I saw some of the cars at the Chicago Auto Show. For those that don't know what it is: The Volo Auto Museum has over 300 classic cars on display all for sale! The Volo Auto Museum is home to the world's largest muscle car collection and the George Barris TV & Movie Car Collection.


Admission is:
$9 for adults
$7 for seniors, veterans with Veterans Universal Access ID and active personnel with military ID
$5 for children 5-12
free for kids under 5 and military personnel in uniform.

Special group rates are available. (I am checking into this for CAMM).


The Museum is located 50 miles Northwest of Chicago near the intersection of Routes 12 and 120 in western Lake County.
It almost to McHenry for those that have been over to AlterEgo and Headtripps house.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Depending on the day...what day are you thinking of?

If you like classic muscle cars, this place is awesome. They also have show cars (the original TV Batmobile, the Ghostbusters ambulance, the Miami Vice Ferrari Daytona/Corvette, Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard) and most of the cars are either 60's and 70's muscle cars or classic 50's cars.

Of course, they don't have the Mad Max Interceptor, but no place is perfect, I guess.

And March is my birthday.

Its way to far for me hahahah

Really if this happens I will cook everyone dinner at my house how's that sound?
at least you will have somewhere to relax after all that walking. It really is not that big and you can make it through in about an hour and a half or so

i am in, with this much lead time i can figure the work thing out. i also say saturday!

I can pick a Sat I will have to take off work or just come up later. Let me look at the schedule and I will let you guys know.

i love this place i have been there prob 15 times... went to a couple shows there also... pretty cool to see movie cars... and also to know there for sale...
