They help filter oil and gas vapors from puddling up in your intake manifold.. It's a preventative mod and well worth it for any motor.

| The way I understand it, there is a certain amount of condensation that occurs inside an engine. This condensation causes water in the oil. When an engine warms up, the water becomes steam (along with a certain amount of oil carried with it) and is expelled through the PCV valve that is routed back into the intake manifold and burned.
The catch can traps this unpleasant mix of oil & water and prevents it from being fed back into your cylinders. _________________ Another quality sig by DartBoy. Nine out of ten dentists approve. |

| Adam I have a question? With the 3.5L what hose are you using to go into the catch can?
A) The one that comes from the pcv valve around the back of the motor into the upper intake manifold just behind the throttle plate? or B) The one from the driver side valve cover the goes into the CAI before the throttle plate? |

| OK that is what I thought. How much if any does the other hose vent into the intake?
Would adding a tee before the catch can to tie in option "B" hose be a bad idea? |
