I heard the Valentine V1 is extremely good but I have never used it. I have the Cobra XRS-R9G and I love it. It has a little wireless remote that displays what type of radar/laser is near u plus it also has a GPS locator to tell you where red light and speed cameras are.... http://www.radarbusters.com/photo-radar/gps-speed-camera-detectors/cobraxrsr9gwspeedredlightcameragps.cfm

I have the Passport 9500ix with the Passport hard wire cord. I like it, good range on the highways, the GPS is nice for redlight cameras, speed traps, blocking out false signals, etc..

I have Valentine and wouldn't use anything else. It has saved my ass countless times. Best part about it is the directional arrows telling you what direction the radar is coming from.
