After researching blowers forever, I made a deal with Bob Kurgan yesterday at his shop in Byron. It's been ordered and should come in around the last part of March. I have an appt. on April 4th and will pick up my car on the 6th. The unit is the new Vortech V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger /VOR-4CL218-030L. I went with satin, just to save a few bucks and it will match my underhood shit that is also in satin. This complete kit comes with the high-flow fuel injections, 2 bar Map sensors, integrated dual-pass air/water charge cooler, a closed loop water cooling system with a stand-alone pump, a high-flow bypass valve and a Vortech custom tune. Bob will install the Vortech tune in my car and then do some dyno pulls to see where or if it needs any adjustments in a/f and timing. I should be making somewhere between 145-160 hp and will just have to wait and see just how far Bob thinks he wants to go with it. Bob is one of the very few people I trust to touch my car. He really knows his stuff and I don't ever worry about that end of things. At this stage I'm not trying to make max power with it. I will address that demon later on if I decide to go with forged internals on the rotation parts. I can always upgrade boost pressures as needed. I'm pretty pumped about this and I still can't believe I finally was able to make the deal. It's always been about the blower since I bought this car.

im excited to get this installed and tuned.. The vortech tunes, in my opinion, are not bad at all.. Lance (their tuner) is a pretty conservative guy and they base their tunes off 91octane california fuel.. I dont think there is a need to have me custom tune it UNTIL we do a big built motor After the install, we will throw it on the dyno to make sure the timing and a/f look good. If a custom tune is needed, we will get it set up!
