PostSubject: Help me choose my next mod   24th May 2010, 9:26 pm

Ok so I have saved a little dough the last couple of months. I almost have enough to do one of two mods I really want. Either way I will do both, probably one now and one over the winter.

Mod #1 Custom audio set-up in the trunk. I have a local guy willing to sponsor me, but I still have cost. He normally charges $65 per hr, for me its going to be $25 per hr, and cost for anything I need to buy. I dont need to buy much because Kooch is hooking me up with his old amps. I'm not going to go stupid crazy with a fiberglass set-up thats not in the budget. Just something clean looking and wrapped in black suede, since I will be doing my headliner in black suede in the future. Basically a nice custom box, amp rack, some plexi glass or lexan, and some accent lighting in the trunk. Something similar to what Ivan has minus all the subs. I dont need another car that can crack gas tanks been there and done that.

Mod #2 Katzkin Seats
I just put a sponsorship app in with them and should here within a month. If I dont get a sponsorship through them, Tim at Mr. Norms quoted me a good price. What I would do is all black leather seats with cream colored inserts, cream stitching on the headrests, and cream piping. Why cream you ask? Because Dodge put that color in my car and I dont feel like spending over $3000 to re-do the whole interior, again been there and done that. I figure it would match the doors and the dash being cream and black already.

I sat in that '09 Sox and Martin Chally with the Katskinz. I would do those for sure.

Dont worry bro, I'm buying your amps regardless. Whatever I choose, I will do the other in the winter.

I would really like to do the interior first, but I'm afraid if I dont take this guy up on his offer of sponsorship it wont be there in the winter. I will have to talk to him and see

Yeah dude, I would do a custom setup in the trunk esp. if the guy is only going to charge 25$ per hour for labor...that is crazy cheap to get that done bro...Your interior already looks pretty nice as it sits and I think the seats and headliner could wait til winter....

I say audio,so you can take advantage of that good deal....Plus adding a headliner and pillars in more for personal reasons, since at the car shows people dont usually stick there head in.Katzkins deal seems secure from Tim,so that could be done in the winter.

That is the least thing I'm thinking about. Its either Katzkin or audio

lol. it was just my opinion. i thought you had some sounds already? (obviously not show quality sounds but i thought you had some?)

katzkin would be sweet. you have the regular r/t seats now right? its a big difference to go to the SRT/Daytona style foams.

Yes I have sounds, but I want to hit more bigger shows (national type shows). My trunk just wont do it for those shows. Like I said I'm not after the killer bass, more appearance than anything. But believe me I want the suede headliner and pillars really bad, its just not in the budget as of yet.

getting seat covers wont really do much as far as a competition level unless the whole interior is done but then they will be well where is the sound system...
