| Went to rte 41 (or what ever it's called now) speedway today and ran the truck for the 1st time, actually 1st time I ever raced... Best run, 12.83 @ 103.29 with a 1.73 60 ft. Gotta work on my reaction - a bit off with my best at .62. Frist run was a 1.22 reaction time LOL!! Now its time for some weight reduction.... |

| Wow, great job. I would think you would have a higher speed for that time. My best run of 13.4 had a higher speed, than 103mph. I would have to find my slip, but maybe your 60 time was better than me. _________________ "Don't talk about it, be about it" "Get in where you fit in"

What happens when you unlock the hubs and launch? |

| Well I am running street tires with no traction devices so it wouldnt be pretty. I just put it in 4hi and stuff it to the boards. I ran with another ram, 2wd he ran M&H slicks and caltracks. I think his best was 13.18 @ 100.27. He was not having any traction issues... |

| I'll bet. Drag radials might help. There is a huge difference with stickies. |

that is kinda low but trucks do trap much lower than cars. check out some sites like dragtruck.com and you will see._________________ 2006 black /SRT//8/12.521 @ 112.263 MPH (corrected time) 2nd place SRT8 shootout Great Lakes Dragway 2008 / 2nd place Maywood Park AutoX 2009http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjQeby5cB1Q / http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0So5e-GGXM

| Yah - I might try his slicks and run in 2wd. I think I would do better in the top end. |

12:83 is awesome. Trucks are big and tall and heavy. It takes alot to get them moving and even more to keep them moving faster in the wind. Aerodynamic assholes, lol. (I used to race a truck in my youth) |

| LOL - a nice pic of me sleeping at the light... Oh well, guess every one has their frist run go get under the belt. I got a bit consistant later ~ .62.
So I weighed the truck yesterday. 5631 with 1/8 tank. Damn this is one heavy pig. I think I can pull 1, maybe 2 hundred off for a few runs later this fall. |
