downers grove has a feature car every Friday. July 30th is mopar night. 6-9pm but you can go early to get a good spot if you like. friday at about 4pm i start seeing all the nice hot rods drive by my shop on their way out there.

its in down town downers grove on main st. and side streets. feature cars park on curtis street but they must be 1980 or older to park on curtis. newer cars are welcome and i go to this event often i just park on main or a side street which are just as busy with show cars as curtis st.

If anyone is thinking about this we will need to meet early on the 30th so we can get our cars on the main street.

Yep it is early, and if you go anytime after 3:30/4 pm you will end up either in the garage or parked a half mile away from the main street. Everyone who wants to come out should and do so when you can but if you are determinded to park where people can see the cars you will have to get their early.

They only hold spots on Curtis Street and that is for the older cars. I can try to email the people that put it on about getting us some spots in the lot right by Subway (for those that go) but I think we are going to be hard pressed to get anything saved.

If Vic can get out of work early enough, count us IN!

I really hope the 30th is not like its going to be tomorrow. I'm not leaving the basement tomorrow if I can help it.

weather is currently calling for 80ish and cloudy with a slight chance of rain on Friday. I'll deffinately be out at the show doing some "window shopping" to get some ideas for my car. Hope to see some of you guys out there for my first CAMM event.

We might try to do this if you all wouldn't mind a truck along.

It is going to depend on the weather for me. They are calling for rain tonight. I'm still trying to decide if I'm taking my truck to the show in Oswego tomorrow so I don't want it to get all wet.

i cruised through downers on my way home around 5:20 nobody really was there maybe ten cars bunch of vets,pustangs,and a nsx......

i thought about it. but any time its gonna rain don't expect people to bring their baby's out.
