What makes them illegal, if they are, are the color (mainly) and things like flashing.

Illinois law says the only color of lights you can have lit while driving are white or amber. So if you get white halos, or amber, you can drive with them on. Any other color, and you chance a ticket if you drive with them on.

Also, they have a law against "nuisance lighting." But I think the interpretation of what constitutes "nuisance" is more subjective. (LEOs, please weigh in here and confirm or correct me)

or this is the kind I have used before...with a squeege.. the above are adhesive one(never done those but willing to try)...

if you order any get 2 sets
(just in case) and if not used I will take the unused 2nd set!

uhhh dont know what to charge ?! its like a 1 1/2 to 2 hr job..depedning how well they are cut (if the need to be stretched abit)....maybe $60 ...or a BIG bottle of capt and the 2nd set of tint if not used...

or.... you could go with something like these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-2006-2007-2008-DODGE-CHARGER-SMOKE-LED-TAIL-LIGHTS-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZMakeQ3aDodgeQ7cModelQ3aChargerQQhashZitem43a06ac7d4QQitemZ290454161364QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

$150 .... but they are LEDs which I dont like cause alot of the time some of the LEDs go out and really cant replace em and theres like 50 in a light (so that alot of them that can go out..) and also they look soooo RICER...or euro trash!and they look like crap IMO... but to each his own!

they are fine to tint ...just like the normal ones...

if your buying LED tails... you can buy them tinted... instead of getting clear ones then tinting...
(look at the link above see how they are tinted/smoked)
