| Thats cool. So its pretty much like a blow out valve like on turbo chargers? Im glad you found a solution because that unintended acceleration couldof been dangerous. |

| Exactly Joey. Some guys mod the blowoffs for sc apps. And yeah it IS dangerous. I kinda liked it at first, but when it fucking rains it ain't fun believe me! |

| you didn't have a bov at all before tom? or just not a nice one like that? any car running boost around 6lbs and up should have one. I would be quite shocked if the normal vortech kit didn't come with one... _________________ 2006 black /SRT//8/12.521 @ 112.263 MPH (corrected time) 2nd place SRT8 shootout Great Lakes Dragway 2008 / 2nd place Maywood Park AutoX 2009http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjQeby5cB1Q / http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0So5e-GGXM |

Yes, the one that comes with the kit was smallish. It couldn't keep up and this one is a racing bypass which is huge in comparison. |

| the one that comes with the kit we use on car making 700rwhp without an issue.. If the valve is too small, you will see surging at idle and at WOT where the valve can NOT escape enough air at idle (surge) or cant HOLD the valve closed (at WOT)... if neither of these issues are evident, an upgraded one will do nothing.. It does not add HP, nor does it do anything else power related.. Just an FYI from a 15yr vortech man |

I was hoping to relieve the surging that occurs at partial throttle. (The Maxflow Bypass Valve improves supercharger operation by opening to relieve unwanted pressure during deceleration. Flow is rated at 320 CFM at 8 PSIG and the valve is preset to open at 4-5 inches of vacuum.) When I give it too much gas from a stop it just goes to a condition of half throttle boost and I can't stop it until it's over. I guess I misread the hp thing but when I get to the point where I want to increase boost it couldn't hurt.

I think the most important thing is that you will hopefully no longer have any sudden surges and be able to control your car 100% now. |

Exactly, Joey. From what I've read on other forums that is what others are doing. I hope it does the trick. |

| Got my Race Bypass Valve installed today. Halleluja, problem solved. The 3.73 gear pushed the rpm up 500 at 80, that took care of alot of it. The valve solved the problem completely through the power range. No more surging at any rpm now. I really like the back to stock feel on the skinny pedal. It makes a whole different whine now. You can here alot of air exhausting from the valve at 3000 rpm and up. I was cruising around in 3rd gear and it makes alot of air escaping sound that I can hear really well from the seat. I could esily autocross the car without a problem now. |
