PostSubject: Oh no, now i need Halo's   16th July 2010, 10:46 am

I am doing research on halo's and am comparing different types and was looking for input as far as durablilty of the product and ease of installation. I found that there are the LED (flashtech) type and CCFL (AAC's Halos). What kind is everyone using out there and why did you pick that one?

Ccfl suck they start fires, thats why the hulk car has a new front end. Pats car almost burned down because of an inverter fire.

Yeah stay away from the ccfl's they look great but not worth the hassle... deb Italian mistress has had her car since march and we have gone thru 2 sets of inverters... when we can afford it i am going to be changing out hers for led's

I was leaning to aac because they have high and low beam turn signal and fog lamp rings. I only saw the high and low beam on flashtech. Also are the colors pretty close to each other? i need to get something close to plum and each on offers purple

I have the AAC LEDs in Amber. I like them and haven't had any issues.

flastech has all those rings too. my kit is a flastech kit with turn signal rings. i just didn't want fog rings so i didn't get them.

either company makes a great LED product. the main visual difference is that flashtech kits are almost twice as bright as aac kits. you really notice it when the cars are parked together with kits from each company.

I have the AAC halos and keep having problems with the inverters. That and the purple ones aren't bright at all. The LED ones are much brighter. I just wish they weren't so expensive.
