| Is this thing worth getting? It seems like a lot of people on LX rave about it but I wanted to get some CAMMers opinions on it. Most of you know what i'm working with already so just looking at some opinions before I waste some money lol.
Thanks! |

| Yeah, I was reading up on it and I like the idea that you can hold the shifts in auto stick! That way I can get some more power outta my Cam since it peaks at a higher RPM!!! |

| I'm thinking 06 SRT's got the Mopar TCM program from the factory in the first place.
everything Brian describes is how my car acted before i did the blue top solenoids.
they had a service buliten to update SRT TCM's to take out the shift hold feature and lower the shift point due to hitting the rev limiter on the 1/2 shift stock. since i had the diablo raise the rev limiter i never had that problem with the 1/2 shift so i never got the flash to the normal charger TCM...
it also explains why Mopar says the TCM doesn't work for SRT's since it came out back in 06 and people are using them on 07 to present SRT's now too... _________________ 2006 black /SRT//8/12.521 @ 112.263 MPH (corrected time) 2nd place SRT8 shootout Great Lakes Dragway 2008 / 2nd place Maywood Park AutoX 2009http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjQeby5cB1Q / http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0So5e-GGXM |

Good info. I was wondering what I would gain from this mod & nothing being discussed seemed like something new to me. I never had the service done to remove the shift hold feature either._________________ Another quality sig by DartBoy. Nine out of ten dentists approve. |

| From LXForums
Mopar TCM and Predator Facts:
*The only times you can hose (set back to stock) a mopar tcm are under the following conditions. 1/ You let the Predator take a backup with the stock tcm in and restored the backup or restore quick adjusts with the Predator. 2/You do a "force re-learn variant" procedure, this is rather uncommon but it will set it back to stock settings regardless if you took a backup with the stock tcm or mtcm installed.
So to properly use an Mopar tcm in your vehicle with the predator please follow the basic guidelines. *With stock tcm still installed, restore your original backup. *Install mopar tcm *let the predator take a new backup and use as normal.
Follow these steps and you will be fine and never hose your mtcm.
NOTE: Firmer shifts using the mopar tcm will not do anything as it already uses that setting for the shift firmness.
I personally have two vehicles with this tcm as well as Predator/Trinity on them and i have verified all this to be correct.
I think the biggest mistake people have been doing is to not restore their original backup before installing the mtcm and thus allowing the Predator to read the new tcm string settings that are in the mopar tcm.
