The absolutes combo are some type of an OEM ballast and Phillips or Sylvania bulbs. As far as the brands are concrned Morimoto's are far the best i've seen and imho are 100% equal to my canbus ballast's they are fucking bulletproof, the down fall there are not cheap they usally run $100 a pair. + the cost of bulbs Which imho is a great deal, i can barely beat that pricing my self...

Also DO NOT USE HID'S FOR HIGH BEAMS just don't, they are not meant to be flashed and they usually do not work very well due to the ballast warm up time, Which in nutshell mean by the time they would reach full brightness in most situations it's time to turn them off. For upgrading your high beams i recommend HIR bulbs ONLY TOSHIBA makes these so don't be fooled.

Before you even ask it in an Bixenon the bulb does not get more power nor is it turned on & off, what happens is the bulb is moved back via a solenoid thus simulating a secondary filament and exposing more light

Also if you serious about hid's you might want to look into a projector retrofit, as it, is the best way to use every fucking bit of light and project it on to the road in a controlled pattern instead of having light everywhere.

3000,4300,6000,8000,10,000k Etc. Are all colors on the Kelvin light scale the simple answer is it's just the color. and each jump you go up from 3000K you lose about 7% visible light output. 4300K is by far the best the color to use and IMHO keeps you legal as it fit's the legal color requirement of I.D.O.T of "white light"
