Got bored today, so I took my car over to the little garage space we have and i did this..... naturally though, it never turns out perfect for me, and Im going to want to redo it again but I like it, now i gotta get some LEDs and get joey's mad skills to change out the rest of the dash... Tell me what you think folks!!

I did the blue film behind the gauges on top of the illuminating pad... so in the day time, it looks stock...

actually, i bought the film at Michael's, however it wasnt the theater lighting gel i was looking for. Its actually just blue transparent wrapping film. came a roll like wrapping paper (the stuff they use to wrap gift baskets). it did the job, but the lighting gel would be more stiff, and easier to work into place. The job itself, was kind of a p.i.t.a, and Ill be honest, i did make an error (i put a scratch in the lower side of the temp gauge). Either way, I removed the entire instrument cluster, and disassembled the cluster on a work bench. Cut the film to size basically. What sucked most about the job, was the way they press fit everything in place, i was looking to remove entire gauge sheet, but they plastic spot welded it in place, and where the needles sit, theres a slight "ridge" that should get filed down to allow for easier removal. Either way, aside from my one booboo, the job doesnt take very long, its just a pain..
