Cruise Nights Begin May 31st
Cruise Nights, sponsored by MainStreet Plainfield, Inc., begin on May 31st. Head to Downtown Plainfield on Tuesday evenings, from 5-9 pm, to see a great collection of antique, classic, and vintage vehicles. While you're downtown, do some shopping and enjoy dinner at one of our great restaurants! Cruise Nights continue through September 6th.


The following roadways will be closed for Cruise Nights:

Lockport Street - between Route 126 and Route 59.

Des Plaines Street – From the alley south of the Fire Station to Chicago Street.

Fox River – Access to Lockport Street will be restricted to Cruise Night traffic. Barricades will be placed just south of the intersection at Fox River and Lockport Streets. However, Fox River will remain open.

Illinois Street – Illinois Street will remain open to allow traffic to pass from one side of town to the other; however, barricades will be placed on Lockport Street to prevent traffic on Illinois Street from turning onto Lockport Street. i used to go to every one when i was younger. then when i was working across town i couldn't make it there in time. now that i got transfered closer to home i might be able to start going to these again.

i used to find a spot, pop the hood, then go eat tacos outside on the street at front street cantina watching the cars cruise by.

If I am working from home on Tuesdays I can make it but if I have to start going back into the office I will probably only be able to do like the last hour.

The guy that runs the butcher shop is the organizer, he would like to see us out if possible.

we are in if anyone else is.. we are few miles south on rt 59 in joliet. I'm sure the wife won't mind since it's her car.
if it will be w a weekly thing I need to know asao so a can get off work for the side job.

i would love to attend a few ,im starting a side job at autzone not sure when i will start the process so far has taken 3 friggin months

Anyone thinking about going this week, the 7th?

probably. i show up late though. i don't get off work till like 6:30 or 7. by the time i shower and get out there I'm taking a spot from someone who left. i usually get a bite to eat and a beer out on the street and chill.

i went last week and it was much nicer this year between the outside sidewalk seating at all the restaurant/bars and blocking off the streets to normal cars.

I am probably in for tonight barring any last min conf calls.

I'll be at Up Town or Mojos slurping up some adult beverages.
