The guys from Byron were nice enough to email me this morning and ask if we wanted to do a track day at their place.

Sunday September 18th
Track opens at 8 AM racing starts at 10 AM. Track closes at 6 pm.

Test and Tune

$30 per car to race
$25 to come and spectate

We need at least 10 cars that are 100% sure they can make it for us to get our own lane. Each lane can hold 13 so the more cars we have come the more lanes we have all to ourselves.

We will have a reserved area in the pits just for us so we can all park together. If anyone has a pop up tent they want to bring that would be great. They have food on site but they said we can bring in coolers with drinks.

If you want to come and just hang out and not race you totally can. Just pay to spectate and then come park with us in the pits and show off your ride.

Working on a few extra details so stay tuned, but please post up asap if you are 100% commited to going and running your car. Need to give them a number coming by September 1st.

I might run her down the track once or twice to see how much the weight in the trunk affected my times.

IMSM is at GLD that day. Race 3.

Since its Father's Day I am going to see if we can move it.

I'll go. Should be a good time. Byron runs a good track and the staging lanes are short. They empty out quick once they start racing.

i think ill come out for this one (work pending of course)... i would like to see how slow my 6 runs the track.

We should also do one at GLD. It would be alot closer for many of us. I can still remember going there with CAMM for my first time. Now I have a season pass. 13 visits and the rest of the year is FREE!

I am working on one at GLD as well. This was kinda out of left field but since they made the offer I wanted to take them up on it.

do oyu need a helmet to race?...

Normally you only need one if you car is faster then 13.99 but its never a bad thing to have.

Long pants and close toed shoes are normally required as well.

i will probably go. as for racing. i dunno... but i get talked into things quite easy.
