Morris Cruise Night

We would like to welcome all Cruise Night Enthusiasts to join us for our Cruise Nights in downtown Morris, Illinois. Years ago, there was a tradition in Morris called, "Buzzing the Gut", which was a simple way of saying cruising Liberty Street. We are bringing that tradition back to downtown Morris.

Only Cruise Night Participants will be able to park on or cruise Liberty Street as in days past. There are many eating establishments within walking distance that will be open to grab a bite to eat. And enjoy the 60s & 70s music as we turn back the hands of time.

Any classic car owners are invited to participate. For a minimal registration fee of $10.00, car owners can display their cars on Liberty Street in downtown Morris, starting at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Entry closes at 8 p.m. No rain dates.

The public is invited to walk around and enjoy these classic cars, AT NO COST. We look forward to seeing you in nostalgic downtown Morris, Illinois!

Does anyone want to try to hit the one on Sept 11th since its a Sunday and most do not have to work?

i am off this Saturday. its the one time i could go on time so i would love to go this weekend.

every time i get there late and I end up being car 700 something.

oooo, we may just have to go this one. We have been wanting to go for a long time.

its a bit of a drive for you guys, but trust me its worth it. there is some stuff you never see around here out there. they had a McLaren ford Capri last time i went. i have never even heard of that version of a Capri before. the rural people have some odd stuff hidden in barns.

It is supposed to be real nice we are going but we are going way early to scope out our spots and hang out

For sure I was thinking of getting down there several hours before it starts.

Its 32 miles from my house and its telling me to head down 80 to get there. So if you guys want we can pick a meeting place off of 80 and then all roll down together.

What time are you wanting to head down?

Would being cars 1,2 and 3 be too early?
It would be cool to park at one end and watch all the others roll in at least this way you can hear them and not wonder what they sound like.

I think meeting at 1, get down there around 2 pm and then we can park and find some place to eat and get set up. I would like to watch the cars roll it. Jon since you have been let us know what you think.

For those of you that go, stop at R-Place. Its the truck stop to your right when you get off in Morris. I believe its a 5lb burger if you eat it in 1 hr its free. Anyone think they can do it???
