| So I go to a car show in South Elgin with my buddy Dan today. As I'm rolling in they tell me " you do know this is a classic car show". I respond so what, does that mean I cant enter? The guys says " sure but dont expect to win anything" I tell him I could care less. It was participant voting and there were 2-3 other modern cars, vette and a couple of stangs. I finished in the top 10!!!!! Here is the ballot......

| john and i were over at the strattford crossing show at gary and shick rd today.it also said 1983 and under on the flyer.there were a few modern cars there and they didnt care.i brought the ta and john had his charger.john carded a few new mopars.i dont think i would give a show that said that on their ballot my time or $.nice win shawn! |

| I didnt know that was on the ballot till 2 hrs later when they handed them out. It was very kool having a shit load of old timers checking out my car, asking questions, and complimenting me.

| That makes me laugh what a jerk at the gate. He's assuming you're there intent on getting a prize as if you'd go storming off when you found out it wasn't for modern cars  It's great you got so many votes new or not your car is deserving. |

| It's a shame that those kind of guys are still toting that its not a classic line. Back when i started showing Black Cherri i got a lot of that kind of stuff but then she started winning against the classics most people were cool about it. Some understand that if they don't support newer cars this hobby will die with them. Which mean no future car shows to make money off. well that and parts for the futrue. |
