| I'm entering the Index Shootout 11.50 class. I would enter 10.80, but I don't want to break NHRA rules. Last big bash of the year. Come on out and race or spectate. Time runs all day long.   |

Yes it is PB time of the year. Last week Tim pulled 11* of timing out of my car to run 11.60. Normally at +21*. Last night at GLD I was popping off 11.10. That's 5 tenths faster in the good DA. I might have run a 10.35 with the kill tune in. Oh well I'll have a laptop soon enough so I can switch tunes out. |

Fun Racing AKA Open Test n Tune:
Anything that has wheels is welcome to fun race! Cars, bikes, sleds, quads... imports, domestics, if it has wheels, race it!
Test n Tune price is $40
Wheelstand Contest:
Does your car wave to the fans? Enter the wheelstand contest amongst fellow racers... whoever can lift the wheels the highest AND cover the most distance wins $500!
$50 to enter the contest, plus test n tune admission price.
Burnout Contest:
Burn off this season's set of slicks... we will help you buy next year's set! The racer who does the smokiest burnout for the longest distance wins $250.
$20 to enter plus test n tune admission price.
Index Shootout:
We are hosting an index style shootout at this year's Halloween Havoc with the following indexes: 9.00, 9.60, 10.20, 10.80 and 11.50. The details are as follows:
FULL 1/4 MILE!
Heads up
Pro .400 Tree
No delay boxes
No throttle stops
No timers
No dragsters
Trans brake & 2-step are allowed
Just you - your car and the other guy
All cars must pass an NHRA tech inspection for their respective index
Entry fee is $50 plus the test n tune admission price. There is a 100% payout on the $50 entry fee!
1st round of qualifying is around noon.

That's the price to enter the Index Shootout. All info is in the flyer. $15.00 to spectate and $10.00 if you order advance tix. |

No sweat. Made it to the finals though! Soooo close, I broke out. Late off the line and I ran the guy down and passed him at the big end. I let out, but too late. At least I gave myself a chance, but the da was dropping all day, which made it harder to run consistant. My opponent was originally entered in the 10.80 class, but switched to 11.50 because he couldn't run 10.80. It was fun! |
