It's official. Did a compression and leak down test on her today. Number two had no compression, period. Pulled the head. This is what we saw...





Giving the engine builder a call tomorrow to discuss a few options. I'm looking at either a well built 360 or a mild 408. Both built for nitrous use.

from what i gather on the dakota r/t forum it was something to do with a stuck valve, or a foreign object that got into the motor when the manifold was off. this happened on the start up after a 2 barrel mopar M1 intake manifold install.

Not yet I wasn't. I had planned for a 150 shot.

We're not positive yet. Won't know more till we pull the motor and drop the oil pan.

I've been talking to an engine builder. A 408 is in the works. May possibly sleeve the shit out of it and try for more cubes than that.

408 will be sweet. that would be enough cubes for me. lol. sleved 426 would be cool too.

some day when i get another daily driver and my own garage im gonna do a 408 or a 6.1 hemi swap with a T-56 manual in the truck. (i do have a powedyne blower in my garage for it but im tired of the tuning headaches and blown headgaskets with blowers on the 5.9L's...) so im just gonna go for NA power with a 6 speed for a great street truck.
